Ricky Martin Ringtones Enrique Martín Morales was born in San Juan,
Puerto Rico on 24 December 1971. Nowadays, he already
becomes famous and beloved Grammy Award and Latin Grammy
Award-winning Puerto Rican pop singer, best-known under
his artistic stage nickname Ricky Martin. He rose to
fame, for the first time as a member of the Latin boy
band Menudo, and later as a solo artist since 1991. Ricky
Martin has sold over 55 million albums around the world
at recent days, charting twenty one top-ten hits on the
American Latin charts, eight of which reached number one,
and a total of over thirty hit singles on the global
music market. Later, he moved to the United States and
then to Mexico City where he started acting in several
theater productions. Ricky Martin created his first
album, "Ricky Martin", in 1991, including the single
"Fuego contra fuego". It has sold over 500 000 copies all
over the world. In 1993, he presented on the music market
his second compilation, entitled "Me amarás" which sold
more than a million copies worldwide. Later, after the
conclusion of a world wide concert tour, Martin returned
to the studio and recorded his fourth music collection,
called "Vuelve", while performing for the first time in a
Broadway production, as the romantic lead, Marius
Pontmercy in "Les miserables". It was soon determined
platinum by the RIAA and went to sell eight million
copies all over the world. Shortly after this, Ricky
Martin was chosen to sing the anthem of the FIFA World
Cup in 1998 - his famous hit "The cup of life" or "La
copa de la vida" that reached number one on the charts in
sixty countries. After several years as a prominent star
in all Spanish-speaking countries, Martin prepared his
first English compilation between late 1998 and early
1999. This new self-titled album contained various
compositions by producers such as Desmond Child, Diane
Warren, William Orbit and Robi Draco Rosa. It also
presented some special guests such as Madonna - on the
Spanish-English duet "Be careful - cuidado con mi
corazón" and Meja for one interesting song called
"Private emotion". The first and most prominent single
from it, however, remained "Livin la vida loca", which
peaked at number 1 in many countries around the world,
including the United States, the United Kingdom,
Argentina, Australia, Brazil, France, Greece, India,
Israel, Italy, Japan, Guatemala, Mexico, Russia, and
South Africa.
